Plan.Net Suisse AG and the Swiss Internet marketing agency INM AG will have a common goal in the future: The merger of the two digital agencies will take effect on January 1st 2017. Philipp Sauber, current owner of INM, will become the Managing Director and Partner of the new agency.
Zurich, November 8th 2016 — The agency, formed by the merger of the two renowned companies, will be called Plan.Net Suisse AG and will employ around 50 employees in the fields of consultation and project management, creation, strategy, development, digital marketing and media. It will offer a comprehensive range of the entire spectrum of digital services under one roof.
For the agencies involved, the merger means an optimal mutual complement: INM, a pioneer of internet marketing with more than twenty years of history and its own development department, brings an appropriate customer base alongside experience in the development of digital products and platforms. Plan.Net Suisse completes the offer with an experienced campaigning and media team. No jobs will be lost. The headquarters of the agency will be the Swiss Serviceplan Group's new House of Communication, centrally located in Zurich's Seefeld district. The management will be assumed by the current owner of INM, Philipp Sauber, who will also become the Chairman of the Board of Directors. The name 'INM' will not be continued.
"The merger with Plan.Net Suisse is a great opportunity for my established team and me and the logical step towards a sustainable future in the Swiss agency business. We will not only work closely with the top communications agency Serviceplan, which will also be in the House of Communication, but also with our international Plan.Net colleagues. As a Swiss company, both our customers and ourselves will benefit enormously from around 840 specialists in the field of digital marketing, as developments and trends from other countries can be taken up and implemented immediately," says Philipp Sauber. "Another important reason for the decision was that the agency is owner-managed and this will continue. This agency model is dynamic, with the times and has a great development potential."
The Serviceplan Group in Switzerland is also looking forward to a shared future. Christian Baertschi, Managing Director and Partner: "It is our aim to offer the entire range of digital services in-house and at the absolute top level. The merger will create an ambitious agency which presents a very attractive offer to the market with both its content and employees. I am especially looking forward to working with Philipp Sauber, who I know is a very successful businessman with entrepreneurial qualities. Philipp is also bringing an established team of exceptionally qualified people who will further enrich our House of Communication.”
The 45 year-old is a trained electronic engineer. During a three-year stay in the Netherlands, he gained entrepreneurial skills in the field of M&A for international companies. Since 1991 he has been working with network technologies. As the owner, he has lead the INM AG web agency for many years, since its founding in 1996.
